Using Patient Access
We currently offer the following facilities for patients through Patient Access:
- to book, view, amend, cancel and print appointments online
- to order online, view and print a list of their repeat prescriptions for drugs, medicines or appliances
- to view online, export or print summary information from their record, relating to medications, allergies, adverse reactions and any other items agreed between the practice and individual patient
You can find out more about Patient Access and how to register for this service by calling into the surgery with two forms of identification (one item from each of the following lists):
- Personal ID: Current passport, photocard driving licence, birth certificate etc.
AND
- Address ID: Utility bill, bank statement or council tax etc (with your name, address and dated within the last 6 months).
You will then be given your confidential login information.
The practice may not be able to offer online access due to a number of reasons such as concerns that it could cause harm to physical or mental health or where there is reference to third parties. The practice has the right to remove online access to services for anyone that doesn’t use them responsibly. It is Brace Street Health Centre’s policy to not to give access to anyone under the age of 16, unless under special circumstances.
Try the NHS App
This practice plans to offer the facility for patients to view online, export or print detailed coded information held in their own records through the NHS App. We are working closely with our clinical software providers to develop appropriate systems for patients to request online access to their detailed coded records using a method that is secure and safeguards the best interests of the patient.
You can now use the NHS App, a simple and secure way to access a range of NHS services and your GP account on your smartphone or tablet.
You can use the NHS App to check your symptoms and get instant advice, order repeat prescriptions, view your GP medical record and more.
If you already use online access you can continue to use it. You can use the NHS App as well.
