Domestic Abuse

Anyone can experience domestic abuse, regardless of their social background, age, gender, religion, sexuality or ethnicity.

Domestic abuse isn’t just physical violence and doesn’t just happen between partners, it can also happen within families or in shared homes.

If you feel scared of your partner or someone at home please seek help. If you fear for your safety, please contact the police and if you are in immediate danger, call 999.

Where to get help

Charities (linked below) who can help:

  • Women’s Aid - in addition to help and support, they  have a freephone, 24-hour National Domestic Abuse Helpline
